554. Belgian Waffle
This is one of those foods where I could have pretty much eaten it at any time, but for the purposes of the list I wanted to make sure that I had the proper authentic thing in Belgium, so when I visited Bruges eating a waffle was the number one thing on my list of things I absolutely had to do. Actually, that’s probably a lie, buying a box of chocolates bigger than my head was the number one thing on my list, so I guess eating a giant waffle was my second.
We purposefully didn’t have any dessert with lunch so that we would make sure to leave waffle room. Frankly I probably could have done with just skipping lunch entirely to leave waffle room. This thing was massive, and had about 5000 calories of whipped cream on the top. It was ridiculously scrumptious though - the waffle was super light and perfectly crisp.
